I have tons of cute cute pictures to put on here so I won't write much. We had a great time in Oregon and are so glad to be able to see family. AdaMarie did great on her first plane ride (fell asleep for most of it) and seemed to like all the attention she got from her Grandma, Aunts, Uncles and many cousins. Andy is getting ready to apply for graduate school so we are planning another move in a few months as long as he gets accepted. Ada is getting so so so big and loves to climb on everything and try her hand at walking. She is such a good girl and I am so blessed to have them as my family. I turn 27 tomorrow and I think I can honestly look back on this past year and say I did my best and was truly blessed.

Now that Thanksgiving is over I can think about the Christmas season without feeling guilty. I have to say that Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday but I love the whole Fall and Winter seasons. Some family traditions that Andy and I have started the past two years will be repeated this Christmas. The first weekend of December we go out and chop down our tree. I get to search and pick it out and Andy gets to chop it down. This year living so close to mountains and forests, we didn't have to go far to find the perfect tree...although it never looks as good inside our house and it does on the mountain side. Andy says I always pick out trees like Charlie Brown and find the most pitiful to bring home. Despite his taunts, I love our tree every year and swear its better than the year before. This year we found one with a little surprise in it (see below). We pop popcorn and sting them, along with cranberries, onto our tree. Along with my Mom's homemade snowflakes and some poinsettias, it looks amazing, My Mom made us a tree skirt this year and now it looks complete. I LOVE THIS TRADITION! AdaMarie doesn't seem to think the tree or the presents are all that great and leaves it alone, which it wonderful. Along with the old Nativity set and some homemade stalkings, we are set to bring on the holidays! We will be flying to Portland to celebrate this year and we are so excited! Fall Fun

I am not very good at blogging these days because my life is pretty boring. Don't get me wrong-boring isn't so bad. Exciting can mean all kinds of things and not always good things. Andy is really getting into the school here and really enjoys having his Fridays and Holidays off. We just got back from a last minute trip to Weiser for Thanksgiving and it was sooooo much fun! We missed Macy and Jason but everyone else was there and it was so good to see them. I cooked the turkey which turned out amazing. I also made our place cards and they were just as fun to make as they were to eat. I will post a picture on here so you can see them. I learned it from a sharing time in primary last week. We played a Thanksgiving Day game which my team won and then we sang the Pilgrims and the Indians song. Then we all commenced the Black Friday shopping ad search and talked till late. Early the next morning (3:45am) my mom and I were up and on the road to shop shop shop. We had so much fun and this year didn't seem as bad as the last. We didn't really hit any HUGE crowds and as always got just what we were looking for. My mom took me to breakfast and then home again home again. Ada and Andy missed me all that day and it was so nice to get a break from being "mom". I really look forward to it every year and I am so glad we went. Its just not Thanksgiving if I'm not home.
Andy goes to Denver tomorrow to observe some classes so it will just be a girls night in tonight. After that, we only have 3 weeks till Christmas vacation and a trip to Portland. I am excited to escape some of the cold winter weather here and enjoy the mild temperature of St. Helens.
AdaMarie is getting so big. She can kinda crawl, spin and sit and its very effective getting her where she wants to go. She LOVES to chew on wires and be under tables and chairs. She is also getting very good at the downward dog pose in Yoga. OH and I don't know if I put any Halloween pics on here so there are a few of those as well. We were pumpkin farmers and Ada was our pumpkin.

Saratoga

We have been in Saratoga, Wy for over a month now and after several mental break downs I have come to accept my current location. It is very different from where I just came from but that is just as good of a thing as it is bad. I am a lot more independent and organized. I don't spend as much money and I have tons more time to spend with my cute family. All good things. Andy is really enjoying his high school math job and We got to all the sports events and play volleyball on Thursday evenings at the community center. Too much fun. We have callings in church now-Andy is the Young Men's president (I guess the first one they have had in years and years) and I am a sunbeams teacher. I love little kids and primary is way easy so I think I lucked out. We stay very busy and I am little miss home maker. I am making my Christmas presents and crocheter a little scarf for Ada so she won't freeze! We like our house and the people here are fantastic. Now if I could just lose a little baby weight that would be great!!! There are days upon days where I don't leave the house for a few reasons-its freezing, no car, no where to go anyway so Thursdays and Sundays are great days!!! All in all things are good. welcome to our fantastic summer.

we have been going non stop this summer and have been fitting as much fun in as possible. we were able to get a job in wyoming so the stress of job finding was short lived. right after the interview we had the chance to run the camp ground up in weiser id for the fiddle fest that happens every third week in june. it was a ton of fun and quite relaxing. AdaMarie was a champ and was very good. we have been to the drive-in in nampa, one of our favorite things to do and we also climbed table rock. the garrison family reunion just finished and it was so great to finally meet little Penelopy. she is too much fun and Nolan has really gotten big. we are planning one more big road trip starting tomorrow to portland and seattle with camping, floating and beaches in the forecast. here are some pictures to help fill in the cracks.

i apologize to anyone that tries to read my blogs and actually keep up with my life. apparently i can't even keep up with my life because i don't even have time to blog about it-it just seems to happen with out slowing down.

march is here and with it is coming the new season of spring. i feel like milly in seven brides for seven brothers because with spring this year comes a new addition to our little family. adamarie is due april 25th and we just can't wait to get her here...especially me!

but i did want to post some pics of what has been happening as of late. before we left rexburg i decided that even though i made andy and his buddy work luggage during student moves...and our anniversary...that we should so something fun. after andy loaded luggage we hopped on the shuttle and went to SLC to eat at PF Changs. it was totally worth the trip! we also were able to hook up with a friend down there and went and saw the lights on temple square. it was great!

I have also been getting little crafty with my bad self with all the time i have these days. i have made some blankets and these little Binky holders that clamp onto the babies clothes so it doesn't fall into the dirt when they lose it.

i am also happy to report that i have made dinner almost every night since we have moved here. i really didn't think i had it in me but i have done an ok job. recipes have gotten a little more exciting as well. these are giant tacos that andy had on his mission. its fried bread batter and then taco fixings on top. its super super good but very large. andy ate his and half of mine.

ummm...so i get bored in my free time and andy thought he should document this moment.

this was a baby shower my sister's in law threw for me. it was a blast and we had a ton of people show and party with us.

i had a few other pics i wanted to post but my stupid computer kept deleting them. no idea why. right now we are just waiting for the little lady to get here.

spring break is in two weeks and andy can't wait. he is getting better every day with the kids and i think by the end of the year he will like teaching teenagers. we are looking into graduate programs for him and he is thinking statistics. hopefully we will be able to call the treasure valley home for a few years until he gets his masters and figures our what he wants to do when he grows up. :)

life changes

so we have finally done it! we have moved from the ice-burg in eastern idaho and made it to the banana belt in western idaho. i have noticed a drastic change in my attitude towards winter since this move-i no longer find it an excruciating experience! its january and i can go for a walk outside, play in the park, and not out on 5 coats just to run to the store. i love it.

andy started work and officially hates teenagers. i told him to get used to them now so he can be all warmed up for when our kids become teenagers. he says they argue with everything he says and have no motivation at all. to his credit, the school gave him all the kids that are behind and usually have some behavior problems. i told him that it would just make him a better teacher. he sure does work with some great people. i have met some of them and they are so nice and helpful and are there to support him after a tough day. it has meant a lot.

i am enjoying my time with nolan, my nephew. he is getting more and more fun each day. it has been a challenge to go from working in an office to babysitting at home. it is good practice for when our little one comes. speaking of which, i am now into my third and final trimester. i cannot not wait to be done. its like a new symptom of something comes every week, adding to the last one. this weeks arrival is the agonizing pain of sciatica. fun fun fun :)

we are happy and settled. its great to be here for now and will keep you posted on any new developments that happen on our end.

so-as we are having a baby i thought this was as good as any time to just post some little pictures. they printed me a thousand copies of her arms and booty and then burned them onto a cd for me. i felt a little guilty thinking, "really-already i have to start the baby book?" call me a turd but i'm not too excited about little scraps of paper and hours upon hours of stickers and scissors just for one page in a book. something to get used to i guess. but i am excited that our AdaMarie is as healthy as she could be. i loved feeling her kick and seeing the movement on a screen. that was very cool and something that only i get to experience. sometimes i feel bad that andy will never know what its like to have odd and, at first disturbing, feelings of her moving around. it's very endearing now and i wouldn't part with her for the world.

so.....i guess i can come right out and say i'm pregnant now. it's time to face the music and just own up to all my crazy mood swings, bloating body, and odd eating habits. i am 17 weeks along it feels like it was just two weeks ago i was up at 3am thinking about the pregnancy test i was going to take when i woke up. i guess andy was up at the same time so we just decided to do it at 3am. there was no doubt about that little plus sign. it was the moment we had been waiting 10 months for...or was it? about oct of 2009 i was having horrible headaches and wasn't sleeping well. andy had given me a blessing to help me cop and during that blessing he said something about praying more often. i will admit i hadn't been very good about my personal prayers so i decided to try it out. one day while in the middle of a migraine i decided to say a little prayer. the image that came to my mind is still ingrained into my memory. it was a little girl with huge brown eye and cute brown curls. the next words were "you want me to have a baby?" the next moment a huge warm confirmation came over me and i knew that was what heavenly father was trying to tell me.

immediately following this manifestation of the spirit, i burst into tears. i didn't want to get pregnant yet. no where in my being did i want to be "that mormon girl" who gets knocked up before their first year anniversary. i got myself under control (i thought) and went to tell andy what had happened. i sat down on the couch and told him something horrible had happened. i then burst into another long stream of tears that lasted 10m or so. i couldn't speak or even show my face. andy at this point was concerned for my life and started asking questions about what happened and to see if he could guess what my concern was. about 20m later i managed to blubber something about prayer, baby, not ready, and then began sobbing once more. andy sat back and said, "you think we are supposed to have a baby?" i nodded and he replied "IS THAT IT? i thought you were DYING or something. a baby isn't that bad". he obviously wasn't as concerned as i was. :) come to find out, during the blessing he gave me a few days previous, he ALSO had a similar impression about a little girl but didn't want to tell me about it...i wonder why? hehe

after that there was a lot of prayer and temple going and we both felt like it was what needed to happen. it wasn't until july that we got pregnant and we were so excited to have the wait over with. then it hit me-I'M PREGNANT!

10 weeks later, lots of prayer and support from family i am happy to say that i am pregnant and excited about it. we think we are having girl but we are having the ultrasound Dec 3. i think i needed a year to get used to the idea of having a kid and i sure am grateful that i have had another 4 months to let the fact sink in.

we don't know where we will be living as of yet-andy is done with school and we are trying to get hired on somewhere. we have applied to alaska, iowa, ohio, texas, idaho, washington, and nevada. we'll see what comes from it.

we are excited for the changes that are coming. i must admit that i am excited about this thanksgiving. i'm already wearing stretchy pants, i have the appetite of a hippo, and if anyone mentions the fact that i have eaten twice as much as anyone there, i will pull out the classic "eating for two" card. LOVE IT!!!!!!

summer comes to a close

as i recall, summers in south eastern idaho never last long due to the fact that it is a frozen hell. :) with that i would like to officially say goodbye to our dear, sweet summer as we will not see the sun or feel its warm rays upon our faces for another nine months.
let's recap all the wonderful things that we were able to do this summer:

we have been busy busy.
andy graduated and his two sisters, a bother in law, 5 kids and his mom were all staying with us in our 2 bedroom apt. it was really good to see them all. enjoy the very cute pics below of some awesome things we did. going to the sand dunes, checking out the caves, ice cream eating, swimming in the river, parade and picnic in st anthony and best of all andy graduating. my family also came up and we went to bar j and lava hot springs. too much fun!!

we have been busy! these past saturdays have been too much fun! we have been active in making eastern idaho exciting and eventful. we hiked "r" mountain-finally. everyone does it so we thought we could handle it. it was beautiful and found out something interesting. the buttes in the eastern idaho, are a volcano that blew up like a thousand years ago. it is now a big crater you can hike up and then down into. it was definatly a steep hike but well worth it. we saw all kinds of butterflies, birds of prey and huge bumble bees-the really fuzzy kind. the flowers were my favorite. then the nest weekend we went to mesa falls and hiked to both the upper and lower. b-e-a-utiful. andy loves the waterfalls. we also just got done with floating the warm river. we decided to go in the "heat" of the day. we ended up drifting through two storms and freezing our butts off. it was still fun. enjoy the pics!

fun filled life has come now that the snow has melted and we only get the occasional flurry. we went to west yellowstone on national park free day and we also hit up jackson hole wy. it was really ritzy and steered clear of all the places that looked like their might be a fee just to enter and breath their air but we did see a good street show. we are trying to see everything that we need to see over here before we leave this place forever. if any person has a suggestion please feel free to speak up. here are some pictures to prove how out going we have been lately! enjoy

march madness

boy are we happy that march is done with. we found out we were being kicked out of our apt 4 weeks ago. this was not due to anything we had done, it was becuase the owner of our apt complex stopped making his mortage payments. so, the government being as they are, decided that money would solve the problem. they let our land lord out of his mortgage and started throwing money at the situation. us being poor newly weds bit the bate and decided to move for mula. a very stressful and long, busy month later we are in our new place. our new place is pretty big and soooo much better then our last place. we have more room and its not tecnically in rexburg any more. :) this is the best part. we are outside of rexburg in a place called salem. from what i understand its a voting district of 10,000 people-or it could have been 1,000 (i past the sign really fast and i need a new perscription). by the way things look out here it may have even been 10,000-1,000 cows not people...anyways-its closer to where i work and we shop in sugar city, "where sweet things grow". i thought that was cute.

one thing that seems to be a little odd about our new place is that the lights in the kitchen go on and off on their own and then they'll come back on and another one will go out. i have decided that it must be a new way of saving energy-not having all the light bulbs on at the same time...andy says we just need to replace them...we'll see.

so after arguing for 15m about who would go get the camera out of the 4-runner i have the camera. :) (its cold outside! lol) here are some pics of what march has been like. enjoy!

got to love the midnight pics! this is the midnight 5k andy decided to run the day we moved. our other friend andy called him up and asked if he wanted to join the party-andy immediately thought "what would sam bremmer do?" and then replied yes. we were up till 1am and then got up later that day to move all of our stuff-love it.

this is andy and andy afterwards. they got their butts kicked but did impressively well for just running an impromptu 3.2 miles!

this was a primary activity that we did for st. patricks day. we made little hats and had a cake walk and then went on a hunt to find the missing shamrocks. while they were hunting a leapercon came and put candy in their shoes. too much fun! i am going to miss these guys!

With the new place comes a new ward-wish us luck!

so i thought i should up date my life a little.

ok so my life is that exciting. i am still at salt lake express as the operations manager. the other manager just got back from a month long vacation to mexico/irland. sooo jelous but i never put any of my mexico pics on here so maybe i'll do that and relive my old vacation rather then pay another rediculous about of money on a new one. it should work right!?

as many of you know life changes all the time.
one change in the life of the newey's is that we are not longer cell phone people. we will see how long this holds out-i must admit i am excited. but at the same time i am a little worried. i have had a cell phone since the beginning of my sophmore year in college. but i think this will be a freeing experience.
i know what you must be thinking-yeah sure it sounds nice but once reality hits i will be going through cell phone withdrawls. I don't think this will happen. in fact-i am so impressed by the amount of people worried for me that the need for fear is sliping directly into the hands of the onlookers as they craddle their phones with a parent like snuggle.
i say change is good and for those that are looking for a drastic change in budget, outlook, and some personal time try getting rid of your cell phones. :) let me know how it goes

capitalization and spelling

two things in the english language i hate. spelling and capitalzation. you know what i mean-proper noun this, start of a sentance that. their, there, they're-need i say more.
it wasn't until i ventured out of this closed minded language that i found that there is freedom out there. freedom to spell the word monday without having to push that stupid shift button down. i found the liberty to spell a word exactly the way it sounds without just throwing in a c here and a b there for no good reason.
i know-i have taken the english classes that have explained all the good reasons for spelling lamb the way we do and that it stems from the foundations of the english language but this new language i have found has roots far deeper then that of the english and still are so nice to those who speak it.
americans have such trouble spelling that we had to create a program that will either automatically fix any spelling errors caused by neglect or will hightlight it to let us know that we are incorrect and better fix the underlined word or you will send this paper/email to someone who will notice your deficiencies as an english speaker and will publicly mock you.
i just don't see the point. some one please shed some light on this situation. and if you are just as concerned about all this grammer jibber-jabber as i am rise up and take a stand!
i believe that all theirs are created equal, and i is no better then e even if it comes after c. the p's and h's in my words will no longer remain silent just to appease the views of men.

Changes

i thought i would start this entry with a little update since i haven't been on here in a while. first-we bought a car as old as me! lol its a 1986 chevy nova and it looks great! its missing its muffler so its a little loud but andy uses it just to run around town and he is enojoying fixing it up. i guess its one of his dreams to rebuilt a classic car some day.
i recently lost my job at the drug and alcohol rehad in idaho falls. they lost funding and i unfortunatly lost a job becuase of it. the worst part was that i found out i lost my job while we were in mexico. it only put a damper on our trip for a few hours and then after that it was old news. i'll get to our mexico honeymoon in a min. when we got home i was called by my old boss from salt lake express with a great job offer. its a pretty cushy office job, 8-4 mon-fri and it was a huge blessing. that is where i am at right now-it was a pretty big adjustment and it still is.
our mexico trip was really fun. we loved being warm and loved spending time together. we rented a car and drove all over seeing so many new things. we fell in love with snorkling and xel-ha was probably the best part of the trip. all you can eat food, free transport, snorkling, dolphins, cliff jumping and all kinds of fun stuff! the ruins were amazing and the beaches rocked!
we really enjoyed our time there and would definatly recommend it to anyone! Tulum rocks!
school is still going. andy is a teachers aid again and it actually filling in for his teacher when he is out of town. the other day he walked into class to teach and the kids started to complain and two just walked out. then andy told them that no one had to be there is they didn't want to and five for kids walked out. LAME! it made me mad. punk college kids.
we are still happy and healthy and loving life. pics will come soon

for all of those who own an apple ipod or nano or anything of the kind should definatly look at this link. its not to scare because, heaven knows we have enough to be scared of. but check it out for info sake and yeah. i personally do not own an ipod but i do have a little mp3 player. i love it tons! andy does have a shuffle and we will be watching where we put it from now on.
a little update on life-
things are good with us. we are almost through finals and getting ready to go to mexico. i have graded lots of papers for andy and its boring. i don't know how poeple do it day in and day out. yuck. but he is excited for his little break. he will most likely start working again for the survey place. they love him so much there because of his ability to talk with anyone about anything! isn't he great!? so that would be great if he could.
i'm still here at my job at the rehab place for teens and i love it. i really enjoy being with the youth-it keeps me young. some days are better then others but the good always outshine the bad.

The weekend

again i have found myself at work and i was just thinking about how the universe work and how the earth is such a great thing. well after thinking these wonderful thoughts, my mind wandered to a hiking adventure that would be great fun, well that brought up the thought, when? then i realized that today is friday and that the weekend starts as soon as i walk out the Harbor House door. isn't that such a strange thing. who came up with "the weekend"? and whoever did, why? whats the point? i like to take me weekend whenever i dang well please, thank you very much. now i have to go through a horrible monday, a very long wednesday, a thursday that almost always feels like a friday and a sunday that feels like it may as well be a monday because i'm too busy fussing that the "weekend" is almost over. hmmmm...

well while i'm on here i may as well let you in on what is happening in the newey life. we are still very happy and doing great. i had been sick for the last week and it wasn't very fun but im off antibiotics and doing great! andy is coming to the close of school. he will have just 2 days left next week and then he will be done. to his dismay, i still have to work and so will he so the summer vacation will really not be a vacation-just a different type of work. you know that europe does a thing where you can take off for like a month or two and travel and have fun. maybe we should look into that. plus they have lots of holidays off and then just random celebrations where no one wakes up untill noon and immediatly gets drunk for the rest of the day/night. ... sorry... on a brighter note we are getting excited for mexico and can't wait to get outta here! we didn't get a honeymoon so this will be the big event. i'm glad we are doing it this way-we know eachother a lot better, we have a little more money to play with, plus there won't be near the amount of stress as in december! :)
