Big Girl

So much is happening in AdaMarie's life right now its crazy! She is such an independent little thing and is a very quick learner. I love spending our time together teaching her new tricks that she can preform for her dad. She can to a few things on command like, when I say yippee she throws her hands above her head and makes the yippee sounds. She can say momomomomomom and dadadadadadada and she LOVES to run to Andy when he gets home and give him hugs. (I think Andy likes it a lot, too) She knows that a telephone is something you talk into-although she puts the phone either on her neck or on top of her head to talk. She actually made a phone call the other day. She was just talking away and then came over and handed me the phone, I guess she was done talking and that is when I noticed that there was an actual phone call being made. Thankfully it was just to Andy who was able to talk back. She can clap her hands now, can jump up and down, and when I say "Ada, be cute" she puts her cheek on her shoulder and smiles really big. Another new thing is not letting me feed her. We had to get some little spoons for her to hold because she wants to feed herself apple sauce and yogurt. She is pretty good at it. I help her dip it in the food and then she gets it to her mouth and eats. She also doesn't want us to bathe her, she thinks she can do it herself by hitting herself with the washcloth but we still have to get all the cracks and crannies she misses. She loves to help unload the dishwasher (usually onto the kitchen floor) and likes to hand me the laundry soap when I ask for it. She can also "Give it to mommy" if she isn't too determined to hang onto whatever she has. I think she will be such a big help to me when she is a little older-she picks things up quick and is relatively a good girl when she is full and has slept well. She is teething like crazy with two more teeth broken through on the bottom and, I think, two more teeth on top that will be here soon. She is such a joy to have around and loves to cuddle with mom right after a nap or when we watch her "show" Tangled. I am so glad I am able to stay home and watch her grow each day.

  1. She seems super independent. I like her dark hair. (and i think it's hilarious that you taught her to "be cute")
